Reschedules Due to Weather CancellationsIf a game is cancelled due to weather it is the responsibility of the coaches to connect and come up with an agreeable date and time to reschedule. We suggest doing this as quickly as possible.
1. Contact the other team's coach/manager
Some say the home team should reach out but it doesn't matter. We find it best to just get it taken care of as quickly as possible. 2. Agree upon new date/time
We recommend that you come up with 2-3 possible dates/times that work for both teams to reschedule. 3. Contact the home team scheduler
Home team coach emails their member league to request the reschedule. Forward communication with the other coach and copy the away team coach on the emailed request. If your game was "away" or scheduled at another KCML location, the opposing team coach will need to submit the request to their home league/scheduler. Each league schedules their own games at their facility. 4. Home League Scheduler will check field availability
They will either reschedule the game based on your request or offer alternative dates/times if none available. Coaches will be informed when change is made. Communicate changes to your team. |
Reschedules Not Related to Weather
Reschedule requests MUST be received via email, WITH the new date and time agreed upon by both coaches, by Sunday evening prior to the original scheduled date. Both coaches need to be included in the email. NO EXCEPTIONS!
1. Contact the other team's coach/manager
See if they are agreeable to the change. If the other team will not agree to the reschedule then the game will be played on the original date/location.
4. Home League Scheduler will check field availability
They will either reschedule the game based on your request or offer alternative dates/times if none available. Coaches will be informed when change is made. Communicate changes to your team. If further communication is needed and you were unable to find a new date/time, but do agree to the reschedule, forward the email thread to the appropriate emails listed above with a note stating "to be scheduled at a later date". Keep in mind that when you do reschedule, we need that by Sunday evening prior to the date you want to play.

Requests not received by Sunday evening:
If you have to reschedule a game and the request was not received with a new agreeable time by Sunday evening (or TBD status email), we are enforcing a fee equivalent to the cost to pay the refs as a 4th official, while they have to be at the fields during the gap and wait for their next game. Refs are scheduled on Monday morning, any changes to the schedule after that result in the league paying the refs a reduced or "4th official" rate during the gap.
|
Fee Schedule:
U6 - $10 x 1 ref =$10 U7/U8 - $10 x 2 refs = $20 U9/U10 - $15 x 3 refs = $45 U11-HS- $20 x 3 refs = $60 These are reduced/4th official rates, not the actual pay refs receive if they officiate the game. |
In the event that you reschedule after Sunday evening and need to pay the fee, it is due to the league by the original scheduled game date.
We understand life happens and unforeseen things come up. We encourage everyone (U7-HS) to have a carded assistant coach for this reason. Please understand we want to work with you and your schedule, but at the same time we want to keep avoidable costs down for the league so we can keep our registration costs from increasing as well.
